I'm Beat the Conductor

My arms wave like light'ning.

I'm really quite kind

Though my antics are frightening.

I'm known to all

As the kind conductor's wife.

He beats time

But never beats his wife.

Father keeps time,

Mother keeps Father,

I keep the house clean

I'd anything rather.

I'm 'Alf Beat the Conductor's son

I'm always out of hand.

My Mother says at dodging work

I beat my Father's band.
